4 Year College Planning

The ASTI counselor holds Family Information College Nights for each grade level during the fall semester.  At each Family Information Night, important information related to high school graduation and four year college planning will be discussed.  Topics reviewed at the information nights include meeting A-G requirements, IGETC requirements, Associate’s Degree requirements, financial aid, admission to the University of California and California State University systems, and preparing college applications.  We will also discuss transitioning from ASTI classes to registering for and taking coursework at the College of Alameda.

Student and family attendance at the Family Information Nights each fall is crucial to understanding a student’s progress toward high school graduation and postsecondary goals.  We ask that all students and families prioritize attendance at these events.

Family Information Night PowerPoints and handouts can be found under the "Resources" section of the counseling section of this website.
