Students can also dress up - THAT’S RIGHT: DRESS UP - to give drugs the heebie-jeebies! [Dress appropriately; no weapons, violent or offensive costumes, and no masks during class.  Costumes shouldn’t affect the ability to walk around.]

Thursday, 11/1:  Treasure Hunt

Friday, 11/2:  Wear Red and Chalk Art

RISE Theme for May is EMPATHY: “If you can learn a simple trick, Scout, you’ll get along a lot better with all kinds of folks. You never really understand a person until you consider things from his point of view, until you climb inside of his skin and walk around in it.” – Atticus Finch in To Kill a Mockingbird (1962)

Go Green Tip: Turn off lights when you leave the room.

No Place For Hate April Resolution: I will think about specific ways my community members can promote respect for people and create a prejudice-free zone.

Prom Contracts Are Due to the office by Friday May 4.

Do you consider yourself artsy? Do you love to take photos? Are you interested in helping create next year’s ASTI Yearbook? If your answer to any of those questions is yes, then you should come to the Yearbook meeting THIS FRIDAY at lunch in Mr. Higashi’s room. During the meeting, we will be introducing the open positions, as well as the roles and responsibilities that come with them. Applications will also be handed out during the meeting, so if you’re planning on applying, attendance is mandatory. See you there! All grades are welcome.

Fine Arts Club members have worked very hard throughout the year and have created a lot of amazing work! Their work has just gone up for display in the Alameda Main Library in the children's section and in the Bay Farm Library. To show your support for the arts at ASTI, we would greatly appreciate if you went to check out the display before it is taken down at the end of May. Also, you can support the Fine Arts Club and get a COMPLETELY personalized t-shirt, hoodie, sweatpants, hat, tote bag, phone case, water bottle, or hard plastic tumbler (clear cup with lid and straw).
