RED RIBBON WEEK: This coming week, ASTI will be holding Red Ribbon Week. We will be hosting lunchtime activities that will hopefully encourage y’all to follow a knowledgeable, drug-free lifestyle! Participate in these fun events, and you’ll be saying “NO” to drugs.

Monday, 10/29:  Pledging Against Drugs

Lunchtime Activity:  Write your name on red ribbon to show your stand against drugs to create a cool art piece with your pledge! Plus, you might possibly get bookmarks and pins!

Tuesday, 10/30:  Spin the Wheel Trivia

Lunchtime Activity: A representative from each grade will spin a wheel and attempt to answer the trivia questions the spinner lands on. Winner gets prize AND…. bragging rights!

Wednesday, 10/31:  Scaring Drugs Away and Pin the Organ on the Monster

Lunchtime Activity:  Pin some organs on a monster and learn about the scary truth of drugs.

Students can also dress up - THAT’S RIGHT: DRESS UP - to give drugs the heebie-jeebies! [Dress appropriately; no weapons, violent or offensive costumes, and no masks during class.  Costumes shouldn’t affect the ability to walk around.]

Thursday, 11/1:  Treasure Hunt

Lunchtime Activity:  Either in groups or individually, students will hunt for clues around campus in a race against each other, time, and the drug industry to win prizes.

Friday, 11/2:  Wear Red and Chalk Art

Lunchtime Activity: Get a piece of candy for wearing red and draw school appropriate images and statistics on the sidewalk to express our no-drug lifestyle to the public.

Spirit Week!!

Spirit week is a class competition filled with super fun and exciting lunchtime activities, accompanied with dress coded themes for each weekday.  Penny Wars:  Place pennies in your class jars in the office before or after school.  You can sabotage other classes by placing any coins or bills bigger than a penny.  Penny wars ends at 3pm on Friday 10/26.

Friday: Class Color Day!

WOW!! CLASS COLOR DAY!!! Everybody dress in your class color from HEAD TO TOE to show your school spirit!!

Freshmen: Orange

Sophomores: Red

Juniors: Green

Seniors: Blue

Event: Dance competition (1 rep)

ASTIans, get your groove on with our playlists of nostalgic pop, hip hop, and K-pop! The mascots of each grade have a dance battle, but beware this is not any ordinary dance battle. The music will change randomly and the dance will change including some k-pop to fortnite music and dances. Choose one representative for your grade and dress super extra in your class color. Wearing (appropriate) halloween costumes are heavily encouraged. :)

Be there or be square!! :) We hope to see everybody have fun and to look forward to next week’s events.
