ASTI Schoolwide Announcements

RISE Theme for January/February is REFLECTION: Life is only a reflection of what we allow ourselves to see.

Go Green Tip: Borrow instead of buy

No Place For Hate January/February Resolution: I will try at all times to be aware of my own biases and seek to gain understanding of those who I perceive as being different from myself.

Looking for a community-minded group to push for social change and provide individual support? Come to ASTI's Queer Straight Alliance! Our meetings consist of working on long-term projects focused on education and awareness, and support circles to discuss relevant topics and hang out. Whether you come for one meeting or for one hundred meetings, everyone is welcome! We also have great snacks. Meetings at lunch every Tuesday in Ms. Campbell's classroom.

Friday, February 9th is a late start day.  Remember to follow the late start day modified schedule.

Are y’all ready to dance the night away? The Spring Dance will take place on February 9th from 6-8pm at the second floor of the F Building, and the theme is Candyland! Tickets sales start this week at lunch from Mon-Fri from $3 for 1 attendee or $5 for two. The first 15 people to purchase a ticket will get 1 free slice of amazing pizza! All attendees will be receiving a real sweet goodie bag!

Club Day: Don't forget that this Friday Is Club Day! If you didn't get a chance to join clubs last semester, this is your chance - come see what clubs at ASTI have to offer!

ASTI Prom now has a GoFundMe! If you can donate any amount you can help us by using the link: It will also help tremendously if you can share this to your family, friends, and people you know. Any questions can be answered by Yongqi Kuang.

Encinal’s JSA invites ASTI students interested in leadership and politics to engage in "Political and Proud,” a groundbreaking event on February 21st from 6-8pm in the EHS Gym. It aims to encourage women and girls to get involved by having a diverse group of local and national female politicians, influencers, activists, and others come together for an evening of speeches, discussion, and inspiration. There will be food, networking opportunities, activities, and more fun! The goal for the event is to incite youth engagement (and especially young women’s engagement) in politics. Join in inspiring the next generation to catalyze them towards positive political and social change. REGISTER on Eventbrite by searching for “Political and Proud” in the search bar.”

If you have any questions, feel free to ask Rasarea Chan.
